Abolition is our mindset. Art is our movement.
Culture Canvas Collective is a homegrown space rooted in Washington Heights, Chicago, where Black joy, resistance, and imagination live. We are a cafe, art gallery, and social hub committed to building a world beyond punishment and policing—a world grounded in healing, creativity, and care.

We believe in the abolitionist mindset: that real safety comes from strong communities, not cages. That justice looks like access to food, art, education, mental health care, housing, and love — not surveillance and punishment.
From art shows to community markets, healing circles to abolitionist education, we’re here to create what we need, not just critique what we don’t.
We're not just a space.
We're a statement.
